These Are The Three Least Expensive Cars To Insure

Buying a new car is one of those things that takes a lot of thought. Not only do you have to think about the car’s cost, but you also have to consider the fees and expenses associated with running it daily. Among those, owning and insuring a new car should rank highly.

Naturally, insurance rates vary according to the vehicle. Some cars cost more to insure since they are more expensive to repair or replace. Other modest vehicles have lower insurance rates.

Below are some cars that cost the least to insure.

Chevrolet Spark

The Spark, Chevrolet’s subcompact car, has a strong reliability rating and is relatively inexpensive to insure. While it may not be as sophisticated or large as the other vehicles in its class, the Chevrolet Spark shines for its distinctive styling and easy-to-use entertainment system. Due to its small size, it is very convenient to drive around in urban settings.

The Spark is a small economy car with many features usually not found in cars its size. These features include cruise control, push-button start, a sunroof, keyless entry, steering wheel controls, power door, window locks, and proximity unlock.

Chevrolet Spark comes in four trim levels: LS, 1LT, ACTIV, and 2LT. The base model has many standard features, including a Wi-Fi Hotspot, Android Auto, two USB ports, Apple CarPlay, and a 7-inch touchscreen display. The ACTIV model is sporty, with performance-tuned suspension, leatherette upholstery, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and heated front seats.

Fiat 124 Spider

Fiat 124 Spider’s low price and affordable insurance rates make it a good option for buyers. The Fiat is built on the same assembly line that makes Mazda MX-5 Miatas in Japan. The new Fiat 124 Spider continues the legacy of its storied predecessor. Many feel that it is a more attractive car than the Mazda alternative. While it isn’t the fastest, it sure is fun to drive.

The 124 Spider comes in four trim levels: Classica, Urbana, Lusso, and Abarth. Each of them has a turbocharged 4-cylinder Fiat-spec engine. The base model, Classica, comes with features including a 7-inch touchscreen display, remote keyless entry, alloy wheels, push-button start, automatic headlights, and power-adjustable side mirrors. The Abarth trim model offers a slightly more potent engine, limited-slip differential, and a retuned suspension.

Honda Fit

The Honda Fit is one of the most versatile and likable compact cars on the market. With five-passenger seating and an upright shape, the Fit offers expansive cargo space and great interior comfort. It also has excellent fuel economy ratings and impressive resale value.

The Fit is available in four trims: LX, Sport, EX, and EX-L. The base model comes with a 4-speaker audio, Honda’s foldaway “Magic Seat,” a 5-inch infotainment display, and a USB port. You could opt for the Sport trim or higher to get a 6-speaker audio system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a 7-inch touchscreen.
